Looped-End Outlasts Cut-End
Looped-end mop heads have bound tails that resist unravelling, hold more solution and survive repeated laundering. They cost more up front and last several times longer, which makes them the economical choice anywhere mops are washed rather than thrown out. Cut-end heads are effectively disposable — reasonable for spills and small spaces, wasteful as a daily driver.
Dust Mop Before You Wet Mop
Wet mopping a floor that has not been dust mopped turns loose grit into mud and drags it across the surface, scratching finish and leaving streaks. The dust mop pass takes minutes and saves the second wet pass most crews end up doing anyway.
