Never Use Fabric Softener on Microfibre
This is the single most expensive laundry mistake in commercial cleaning. Softener coats the fibres and destroys the electrostatic action that makes microfibre pick up dust rather than push it around. A cloth washed with softener looks fine and performs like a rag. Wash microfibre separately, hot, with detergent only, and no dryer sheets.
Colour Code Them
Buying cloths in four colours costs nothing extra and lets you keep washroom cloths out of the lunchroom. Red for toilets, blue for general surfaces, green for food areas, yellow for washroom sinks and mirrors. Health inspectors look for it.
